Juneteenth 2025
Standing in Solidarity
This weekend, we joined dozens of local vendors and organizations at the annual Black Heritage Festival’s Juneteenth Festival. This year’s event featured amazing performances, family friendly activities, and shared recognition of our connections to each other.

This year, with temperatures expected to be in the 90s, we offered a weather and theme appropriate activity – decorate your own paper fan. It turned out that two of our recruits are quite handy with markers and water colors, and they kept a steady stream of kids engaged in creating their works of art while parents learned more about how we can start to break free from the hold of greedy utility companies and build our own solar powered solutions.
We’re grateful to the Worcester Black Heritage Festival Committee for doing all the hard work and planning that goes into hosting this community building event every year, and look forward to supporting their efforts for years to come.
